Tasting Notes: The 2016 vintage of Patland Chardonnay is a beautiful example of a successful marriage between wine and oak barrel. On the nose, the wine hints at tree bark, camp fire and cocoa shavings, while at the same time showing off aromas of baked apple and lemon meringue. On the palate, a touch of acid turns that baked apple into tart, ripe apple. Along with flavors of light brown sugar and a nutty, sherry characteristic, this wine finishes round and rich. Final Blend: 100% Chardonnay Case Production: Only 300 cases produced Pair With: Anything from baked brie to broiled lobster Hold Time: Enjoy now or hold up to 5 years Alcohol by Volume: 14.4% Wine club members might be familiar with this selection as we've featured the 2014 and 2015 vintages as well.
